Returns & Shipping

This page explains how Shopping Market handles shipping, delivery, cancellations, and returns. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Shopping Market operates in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Orders are placed on our website and paid for in cash on delivery.

Shipping and delivery

  • We deliver to addresses within our current service areas in Egypt.
  • Delivery fees are based on the governorate / city on your saved address. Each area has a published base rate.
  • The base rate covers the first 3 kg of your order. Each additional kilogram adds 5 EGP to the delivery fee. The full delivery fee is shown at checkout before you confirm.
  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location, product availability, and circumstances outside our control.
  • Please make sure your delivery address and phone number are correct so our courier can reach you. We will contact you if there is a delay or problem with your order.

Pay on delivery

  • Orders are paid in cash to the courier when your order is delivered. No online or card payment is required, and we do not collect payment card details.
  • Please have the correct order total ready at the time of delivery.
  • If you need to reschedule a delivery, contact us as soon as possible.
  • If our courier cannot reach you or the address is incorrect, we may attempt delivery again or cancel the order.

Checking and confirming your order on delivery

Because orders are paid in cash on delivery, you inspect and confirm your order when the courier delivers it — on the same day.

  • Open and check your items at the door before paying and accepting the order.
  • Look for damage, missing pieces, wrong sizes, or items that are not what you ordered.
  • If something is clearly wrong, tell the courier immediately and contact us before you pay. You may refuse the order or the affected item at the door.
  • Once you pay and confirm receipt, the order is considered accepted for that delivery. We do not offer a post-delivery return window for change-of-mind or later inspection.

Cancellations

  • You can cancel an order before it has been dispatched by contacting us as soon as possible — there is no charge.
  • Because orders are pay-on-delivery, you may also decline an order at the door if it is damaged, incomplete, or incorrect — before paying.

Refunds and adjustments

  • If payment has not been collected yet, a refused or cancelled item usually means no payment is due for that item.
  • If you already paid in cash and we agree to a refund or adjustment, our team will coordinate it with you manually and mark the payment as refunded in your order history.
  • A refunded payment record is separate from the order lifecycle. For example, an order may remain delivered while its payment is marked refunded because we agreed to refund after delivery.

After you have accepted delivery

  • We do not offer post-delivery returns. Our model is inspect-and-confirm at the door on delivery day.
  • If you believe there is a problem that should have been visible at delivery but was not raised at the time, contact us through Help & Support with your order details and photos. We will review the situation, but we cannot guarantee a refund or replacement once an order has been paid for and accepted at delivery, except where applicable Egyptian consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

Damaged, faulty, or wrong items at delivery

If you receive an item that is damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, raise it with the courier and contact us at the time of delivery — ideally with photos. Do not pay for or accept items that are clearly wrong or damaged.

We will work with you to resolve the issue before the order is closed — for example by refusing the item, arranging a replacement delivery, or adjusting what you pay. This does not affect your statutory rights under Egyptian consumer-protection law.

Returns, replacements, and refused deliveries

  • If you refuse an order or item at the door because it is damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you do not pay for that item.
  • If we arrange a return pickup, replacement delivery, or re-delivery after refusal, the courier charge is the same delivery rate that would apply to a new order to the same address (zone base fee for the first 3 kg, plus 5 EGP per extra kg).
  • Because our model is inspect-and-confirm at delivery, we do not offer a separate post-delivery return window for change-of-mind.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable Egyptian consumer-protection law. If local law gives you stronger rights than those described here, those rights apply.
